A new exhibition at Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland celebrates the design of North Stradbroke Island beach houses. Straddie Style: Redesigning the beach shack, curated by Dr Robert Riddel and Stephanie Lindquist is on display from Sunday 23 August to Sunday 4 October 2015, takes models, photographs, drawing and plans and combines them to tell the story of Straddie’s beach architecture.
Also opening at Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland on 23 August is Wabi Sabi: The beauty of Impermanence, an exhibition curated by Dominique Macedo exploring traditional Japanese techniques such as shibori, woodblock carving, ceramics and tsumami zaiku.
