Community events to mark in your calendar

Council supports a wide range of community events throughout the year. These range from family-friendly days to events raising funds for essential community services and raising awareness of serious issues. Three key events in the City’s annual calendar are coming up in the next few months:

Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September Cleveland Caravan, Camping, Boating and 4X4 Expo: It’s all on show at this three-day event at Cleveland Showgrounds boasting a huge list of exhibitors, entertainment, competitions and prizes. Ample Car Parking will be available at Ross Court, Cleveland (entry off Bloomfield Street near the BP) with pedestrian access to the showgrounds. For details, visit the event’s website.

Saturday 14 November 2015 Dîner en Rouge: Dîner en Rouge, the Mayor’s annual fundraiser for Redlanders affected by domestic and family violence will again be held at a secret location with tickets to go on sale later this month. For details on this event  visit Council’s website

Sunday 20 December Christmas by Starlight: Council’s annual Christmas event will this year be held “on the green” at one of our region’s most iconic destinations – Sirromet Winery, Mount Cotton. With its grassy hillsides creating a natural amphitheatre, it will be the perfect place to watch a great line-up of Christmas performers!

Keep an eye on our ‘What’s On’ Calendar for information on these and other community events.
