A wild way to volunteer

Redlands After-hours Wildlife Ambulance (RAWA) are in urgent need of more volunteers. The service, which is coordinated by Council and staffed by community volunteers, provides overnight rescue and transportation for sick and injured wildlife. Volunteers work in teams and are rostered on from 5pm to 8am, for one week in every six weeks.

To join, you’ll need to live in the Redlands and have a current driver’s licence. New volunteers are provided with comprehensive training and need to attend an induction session. The next induction session is on Saturday 23 April from 9am at Redlands IndigiScapes Centre, Runnymede Rd, Capalaba.

For more information and to register for an induction, contact Lisa Bailey on 3824 8611 or [email protected].
