There is still time to nominate an outstanding local resident for a 2023 Redlands Coast Australia Day Award.
Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said the awards recognised the initiative, contribution and hard work of Redlands Coast residents of all ages.
“There may be a work colleague, family member or friend doing something amazing in our community and who you feel deserves recognition,” Cr Williams said.
“The Redlands Coast Australia Day Awards are your chance to shine a light on them and their endeavours.
“There are nine categories, which reflect the breadth of areas in which our residents are making a real difference in the community.
“Nominations can be made online through Council’s Redlands Coast Australia Day Awards web page, but you must nominate by Friday 2 December.”
The awards categories are:
- Citizen of the Year
- Senior Citizen of the Year (60 years and over)
- Young Citizen of the Year (30 years and under)
- Local Hero Award
- Reconciliation Award
- Community Organisation Award
- Cultural Award
- Sports Award
- Environment and Sustainability Award
More information on each of the categories is available on Council’s website.
