Redland City Council has opened sandbagging stations for the community following Bureau of Meteorology forecasts for heavy rain which is expected to continue into the weekend.
Please note: enclosed shoes must be worn at all Council sandbagging stations.

Residents on Coochiemudlo and Lamb islands can collect filled sandbags from the following 24-hour locations:
Lamb Island Rural Fire Station – 12 Lucas Drive, Lamb Island
Coochie Men’s Shed – 54-45 Elizabeth Street, Coochiemudlo Island
Information on how to properly use sandbags, including filling them, can be found on the SES website.

Call the SES on 132 500 to log a job, which will be prioritised and tasked. This will help ensure our most vulnerable in the community are addressed as a priority.

Call Council on 3829 8999 to report fallen branches on public spaces across the city.
Please be mindful of conditions when outdoors. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
- Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it’s flooded, forget it.
- Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
- Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
- Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
