Nominations close soon for Redlands Coast Australia Day Awards

There is still time to nominate an outstanding local resident for a 2022 Redlands Coast Australia Day Award.

Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said the annual awards recognised the initiative, contribution and hard work of residents and community groups.

“So much of what makes Redlands Coast special is its people – those who give their time and heart to others, who push themselves to achieve at elite levels and who show great innovation in their social, environmental and cultural projects,” she said.

“If you know a person, group or community organisation that has made an outstanding contribution to our city this year, I strongly encourage you to nominate them for a Redlands Coast Australia Day Award.

“There may be a work colleague, family member or friend doing something wonderful and who you feel deserves recognition through one of the nine award categories.”

Online nominations for the 2022 awards close on Monday 29 November 2021.

The award categories are:

  • Citizen of the Year

  • Young Citizen of the Year (30 years and under)
  • Local Hero Award
  • Community Organisation Award
