Redland City Council was recently advised that 4 Simplicity Pty Ltd, trading as Chef’s Inc., has elected to go into voluntary liquidation.
Council also reluctantly took action recently to terminate the company’s Licence to Operate after the company failed to meet conditions of the licence.
Mayor Karen Williams said Council had made multiple attempts to meet with the company owner to discuss their future intentions after the food hub was closed for the winter months, but had not received a positive response.

“Following the decision of Chef’s Inc. to go into voluntary liquidation, the company that owns the containers (a separate company to Chef’s Inc.) is now expected to start removing containers from the site,” Cr Williams said.
“Council is working with the liquidators and the owners of the containers remaining on the site in Shore Street West to facilitate removal of the containers.
“Cleveland remains an ideal investment location for new dining and entertainment experiences as part of the strong branding of the Redlands Coast experience.”
