There is currently a small fire burning on Russell Island near Centre Road and Stradbroke Avenue.
The fire is being attended to by Rural Brigades and is within containment lines. We have also sent Council crews to provide assistance. There is currently no threat to property but due to high winds the fire is producing a lot of smoke.
We’ll provide more updates as necessary.
