Win tickets to RedFest

From 4-6 September, the Norm Price Park – Redland Showgrounds will come alive with a fantastic line-up of entertainment, fireworks spectacular, sideshow alley and the world famous strawberry-eating competition. We have 100 one-day tickets to RedFest 2015 to give away, valued at $15 each.

Trees for Weeds

When: Saturday 15 August 2015, 8.30-10.30am
Where: Southern Moreton Bay Islands

  • Coochiemudlo Island Jetty
  • Macleay Island Progress Hall, 2 Russell Terrace
  • Karragarra Island Foreshore Park, The Esplanade
  • Russell Island Public Pool Carpark, High Street

Exchange unruly, invasive weeds for native plants at the Trees for Weeds Day. Claim a free native plant for every plastic shopping bag of weeds you bring along (up to five per person). While all weeds are accepted, this year’s focus for the islands are Mile-a-Minute and Mother-of-Millions.

Queensland Road Safety Week

17-21 August 2015

Come along to the local road safety week event, supported by the Redland Traffic Advisory Group.

When: Wednesday 19 August, 9am-12pm
Where: Park area adjacent to Capalaba Library (Noeleen Street) and Capalaba Bus Interchange, Capalaba

Make a pledge to improve a single road behaviour. You can hand in your pledge at the event or post on social media using the hashtag #SpeakUpforRoadSafety

Mayoral Prayer Breakfast

The annual Redland City Mayoral Prayer Breakfast will be held on Friday 28 August 2015 at Redlands Sporting Club. Tickets are now on sale from RPAC.

Residents are reminded rates are due Tuesday 11 August 2015. After this date, interest will accrue at 11% per annum, compound interest calculated on daily balances. If you did not receive your rates notice or you would like to discuss your payment options, please call 3829 8999.
