Swap your weeds for trees

It is time to get into the garden and pull out those pesky weeds ahead of our Trees for Weeds Days. You’ll be able to claim a free native plant in exchange for each plastic shopping bag of weeds you bring in (up to five per person).

 Mainland event

When: Saturday 1 August, 10am-4pm

Where: IndigiScapes Nursery, 17 Runnymede Road, Capalaba

Council’s weed experts will be available for advice on managing your weeds. The native plant nursery will also be open for sales if you’d like to grow your garden! You can bring any weeds in, but this year’s focus weeds for our mainland event are Wild Tobacco, Chinese Burr, Morning Glory, Green Cestrum.
