Queensland Fire and Emergency Services – QFES crews are on site at a bushfire near the BP Service Station on Cleveland-Redland Bay Road close to the intersection with Double Jump Road.

The fire is contained but is unable to be extinguished due to danger of falling trees in the fire front.

There is no danger to life or property but heavy smoke can be expected and residents in the surrounding area – including Mount Cotton, Redland Bay and Victoria Point – residents should keep windows closed over the next few hours.
