With the news that Angelina Jolie will film parts of her next blockbuster Unbroken in the Redlands, Redland City Council is hosting a free family movie night featuring another Angelina film.

Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said Shark Tale, an animated film featuring Angelina Jolie as the voice of Lola, would be screened in Raby Bay Harbour Park on Saturday 19 October.

“This is a great opportunity for residents to get into the Angelina spirit while at the same time enjoying a great night out with the family,” she said.

“Rated G, the film is ideal for the whole family and in addition to Angelina features stars Will Smith and Renee Zellweger, voicing other characters.

“The free film will be screened under the stars on Queensland’s largest LED and highest definition screen.  We are combining a great film with a great location.”

Cr Williams said the free Council event supported Council’s vision of providing fun, family oriented activities for locals and visitors.

“Bring a picnic, blanket and chair and enjoy a night of big screen entertainment,” she said.

“The popular Twilight Makers Market will also be held on the night, providing even more activity for residents to enjoy.

“There are also plenty of fantastic restaurants and eateries at Raby Bay and Cleveland for residents to take their families before or after the movie.”
