Free green waste kerbside collection update: Monday 18 February

Our free green waste kerbside collection across Redland City is progressing well – so far our crews have completed collections in Mount Cotton, Coochiemudlo Island, Dunwich, Thorneside, Lamb Island and Russell Island.

We are still working through Wellington Point, Capalaba, Point Lookout and Birkdale. Collections started today at Macleay Island, Victoria Point and Thornlands.

Weather permitting, we will start picking up green waste in the coming days in Ormiston, followed by Amity Point, Alexandra Hills, Cleveland, Redland Bay and Karragarra Island.

Thank you for your patience 🙂

The kerbside area in front of the property is not big enough to accommodate all the green waste. And it is not good to leave the waste on neighbour’s front kerb. What can we do? Can we leave them on our front yard along our driveway (just meters inside)?
I was told council would not clear anything not on kerbside. would council go a few meters further?

Hi Lin, thanks for your question. All green waste needs to be on the kerbside along the nature strip and away from your footpath.

If you believe there is not enough room on the kerbside for your green waste, please call us on 3829 8196.
